The crew just returned from the first out of region roll this season in Utah. We spent the first few days of the roll at the Cobblerest Fire going direct and making good work of the small ~200 acres with the aid of helicopter drops. We were later reassigned to the larger Pole Creek fire that was burning a few hours south of the Cobblerest. We finished the roll on this incident doing lots of line prep, conducting burn out operations, digging direct line and mitigating hazard trees. It was an awesome time of year to be in central Utah to see the fall colors. The Pole Creek fire is still burning but the resources have been making good progress with an estimated 83% containment as of today.
